ACQUIRING POSTERIOR PHOTOS

A. OPERATING CANON NON-MYD. CAMERAS

1. ALIGN THE 2 HALVES OF THE IRIS AND PUPIL INSIDE THE 2 RING TARGET ON THE SCREEN

2. THE 3 WHITE DOTS SHOULD FIT INSIDE THE PUPIL

3. IF THE DOTS ARE TOUCHING THE PUPIL YOU SHOULD USE THE SMALL PUPIL SWITCH LABEL "SP"

NOTE: IF YOUR CANON CAMERA IS A CR-4 OR CR-3 YOU WILL NOT HAVE THIS SWITCH.

4. IF DOTS ARE OUTSIDE THE PUPIL YOU WILL HAVE TO DILATE TO GET A CLEAR PICTURE.

5. NOW PUSH THE ALIGNMENT BUTTON TO SEE THE RETINA ON THE VIDEO MONITOR

6. ALIGN THE TWO WHITE BARS BY TURNING THE FOCUS KNOB ON THE RETINAL CAMERA.

7. FIND THE 2 WHITE "DISTANT DOTS".

8. MOVE THE JOY STICK IN AND OUT TO GET THEM SHARP AND ROUND.

NOTE: IF THEY DO NOT SEEM TO GET SHARP GIVE THE PATIENT SOME NATURAL TEARS.

9. TURN THE ELEVATION KNOB UP AND DOWN TO PUT THE DOTS INTO THE CUT OUTS AT 3

AND 9 0'CLOCK.

NOTE: THE LAMP CAN BE INCREASED AND DECREASED TO SEE THE RETINA AND HAS NO AFFECT

ON THE PHOTO.
