Ray-Ban Sunglass Collection for Spring/Summer 2006

Recommended Posts

Ray-Ban, the world’s best-known eyewear brand and global leader in the sector, will be presenting the new sun collection for Spring/Summer 2006 at SILMO, the Salon International de l’Optique et de la Lunetterie, to be held in Paris from 21 to 24 October 2005.

All models in the Ray-Ban collection are the product of meticulous, original styling that translates the best of the latest trends into an ever-contemporary look for millions of Ray-Ban wearers around the world.

The sun collection for Spring/Summer 2006 stands out in particular for its fashion-inspired models, like the new mask fronts for the AVIATOR family (RB 3267, RB 4077, RB 3291 and RB 3268), as well as for the original colour options that exploit the lustre of metal (gold, polished and satin-finish steel, copper and lead).

There are 24 new models in the Ray-Ban sun collection for Spring/Summer 2006, twelve in plastic, six in metal and six combinations.

All models are identified by the Ray-Ban signature engraved or silkscreen-printed on the arms and stamped on the lenses.

RB 3267 (metal)

This classic sun model has been given a makeover in a more modern style. Square shapes and a wrap-around design meld perfectly into ice-cool, assertive eyewear.

RB 3267 ensures maximum eye protection in a model with broad lenses and super-slim arms bearing an elegantly engraved Ray-Ban logo. The frame is available in six colours that include both classics and new tone-on-tone options.

The attractive, wide-ranging palette includes classics like 001/71 (green lenses and gold frame) as well as innovative options such as 004/13, which combines graded purple-tinted lenses with steel-coloured arms and contrast black tips.

RB 4077 (injection-moulded plastic)

The distinguishing feature of RB 4077 is its sophisticated, innovative design, which features an Aviator-style mask front made entirely in injected-moulded plastic. Soft lines and oversize shapes come together in a model that will impress discriminating eyewear users with its retro look. The broad front is set off by slim, linear arms decorated with a metal logo near the hinge. There are six colour options in the palette with classic black (601-S/71) alongside new graded tints, such as 642/71 in tobacco.

RB 3291 (metal)

The distinctive Aviator styling of the metal profile underlines the personality of this model. Assertive, modern design and broad, wrap-around styling produce a unisex model that adapts perfectly to the requirements of everyday wear. Flat, lightweight arms ensure maximum comfort.

The logo is printed on the arms and inside the nose pads.

RB 3291 is available in five colours, including the elegantly distinctive 004/71 with its steel frame and very dark lenses.

RB 3268 (metal)

Sophisticated design is the key feature of this metal mask front and its assertive, face-hugging styling. The all-metal heel flows smoothly into the new-look arms, which are also in metal and feature an engraved Ray-Ban logo and extra-long, soft plastic tips.

RB 3268 is perfect for both male and female wearers and comes in six different colour options, with classic metal shades to the fore. Option 041/13 combines a polished steel frame with graded pink-tinted lenses to produce a supremely sophisticated model.

RB 4073 (acetate)

This acetate model stands out for its distinctive retro styling and broad, square-look styling. The self-assured design will appeal to even the most discriminating eyewear users attuned to the latest fashion trends.

The chunky, regular arms feature a metal insert bearing the Ray-Ban logo. Intense, dark shades stand out among the seven colour options.

RB 4073 is also available with polarised lenses that ensure complete protection and maximum visibility even in the most extreme light conditions.
