  1. Located in Kankakee County – our Ophthalmic practice has expanded to include our own ambulatory surgical center. The great news – our dedication to “doing it right the first time” we achieved a AAAHC rating. As our surgery days grow our career opportunity is dual, managing the ASC and its needs, as well as joining the ranks of our senior ophthalmic technician team. Experience in both fields is required. ASC duties include: Policy and procedures Oversee contractual needs of the facility Establish and maintain a positive work environment Collaborate with OR manager for daily operations of the ASC Maintaining our AAAHC accreditation Ophthalmic Technician duties include: Manual refractions Patient work ups Familiarity with pretests, including OCT, IOL master, visual fields, goldmann tonometry Surgical procedure knowledge is preferred JCAHPO certifications of certified ophthalmic technician (COT) or ophthalmic assistant (COA) preferred as well as familiarity with AAAHC accreditation procedures and surveys.
