Thanks for looking, Frank Why should you take a chance on buying this website? 1) It’s really only of value to an optician with a bricks and mortar high street store. To an optician it represents an off-the-shelf ready to go website with functionality that would otherwise cost you closer to £20K and months of your personal time to build from scratch (if you can find a web developer capable of the task). 2) It’s one hell of an advert for the company: It will allow you to periodically email all of your past customers with an advert ( a special sales deal maybe) for repeat business. I’m not suggesting you spam your customers but you could send the advert in the context of a reminder to get their eyes tested. This is targeted advertising in a very slick web site. When new ranges of frames come in you can prompt your customers: Send them a picture of a pretty girl wearing a nice new frame and invite them to try on those very frames following a link to those frames on your site. Once they’re in the online store they’ll look at other frames too. Tempt them in by allowing them to try on what they see on the model for themselves! Your local existing and potential customers are leading busier lives than ever before – reach out to them: If your existing local opticians practice were to have an optical website with a virtual try on you can advertise your site by word of mouth to every customer that walks in your door: tell them to check out the latest stock at their convenience sitting at home online so that they need only come to the shop if they want to try on the frames for real or come in for a frame fitting service. Have a PC on the counter so that they can play with the virtual try on in the shop. 3) The website is a portal that allows your high street store to effectively remain open 24 hours a day – folks can try on and order glasses and submit prescriptions while you sleep. 4) It has an integrated try on software – that’s actually quite a big deal: You cannot buy websites like this one off of the shelf - they must be programmed. If you've done your homework you'll already know that finding Try on software that does not have a subscription attached for each new pair of glasses added will also be very very difficult. Many of the Try on's that do exist on the open market cost a few grand anyway. You'll have to keep your day job and work on getting this to the top of Google at night. 5) It has fully programmed 2-for-1 functionality 6) Certain lens prescriptions have a higher cost price than others. This website has an algorithm that screens out customers that need more expensive lenses so that you can safely offer rock bottom prices without fear of making a loss on customers that require the more expensive cost price lenses. 7) Just in time ordering facility: if you don’t actually stock the item the website can immediately order from the suplliers upon receipt of an order from a customer. You then call or email the customer to say that there may be a few days delay, apologise and offer a refund safe in the knowledge that usually this delay will not be a problem as long as the customer remains informed. This allows you to keep smaller stock levels. Some technical stuff: The website is based upon a Magento e-commerce platform. If you are a novice, through screen sharing software and in conjunction with Skype or the telephone, I can show you how to add / delete frames and specify specify categories (i.e. Frame material, colour, gender, whether it should be part of a 2-for-1 deal etc) - believe me that is the easy part. Plus over the telephone I can give you any advice that I can concerning my (ardent but ultimately futile) attempts to get to the top of Google - all advice is a help. At this point you are no doubt put off by the fact that I had not made the Google rankings and that my business had not made any money. But I have not explained how the business could compliment and existing opticians practice and easily be listed on a local search and why I did not try to do this: Like I say – I’m selling a site that was incredibly difficult to program and software test – are you a local optician?
