  1. Hello, we have an Essilor Kappa Ct edging system and I am wondering if other Opticians have the issue of the lens blanks being too large for the chamber at layout. The problem really exists when laying out progressive lenses. I insert a clear plastic plate that is clamped to manually position lens for layout but the clamp ends are higher than the table and lens is too big to fit inside the diameter of the clear plate. The lens has to be angled and the edge of blank sits on top of the prong at an angle to achieve layout of the lens. What do others do? I don't like blocking lenses at an angle and sometimes the lens breaks on the edge of the blank when block is applied by the downward pressures of the blocking mechanism. Seems like the lens chamber could have been engineered to be bigger to handle large blanks? Is there another solution people have used? Thanks
